Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, welcomed on Friday the Coordinator of International Aid for Lebanon, Ambassador Pierre Duquesne, accompanied by French Ambassador Anne Grillo and a delegation.
Salam presented his approach to the economic situation in Lebanon, how to address it, and the steps that the ministry will take in terms of reforms. He also touched on the possibility of activating the CEDRE agreement in parallel with the IMF negotiations. Talks also dealt with the current situation of the port of Beirut in general and the wheat silos in particular, and the means to best address the damages inflicted on them.
