Protesters Mark Second Anniversary of October 17 Uprising

To mark the second anniversary of the October 17 uprising, a number of demonstrators gathered in front of the Palace of Justice in Beirut, and raised the Lebanese flag and photos of the victims of Beirut port explosion, as well as photos of people who were injured in the uprising.

The protesters demanded that "justice be achieved and the criminals in the port explosion case be handed over to the judiciary, which must be fair and transparent, far from political interference and unacceptable threats."
