The Lebanese delegation partaking in the Arab Short Course Swimming Championships (25 meters) currently being hosted by the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi has reaped nine medals thus far, including three golden ones.
USA-based swimmer, Simon Kabbara, has added a third golden medal to her tally after winning the 200-meter breaststroke for the 16-17-18-year-old female category, recording 2:37:75 minutes and breaking a new Arab record.
Kabbara also broke the Lebanese record previously held by Rebecca Mezher, which was 2:45:30.
Jad Ghaziri won the second place in the 200m breaststroke for the 14-15-year-old category, recording 2:24:13 minutes, and breaking his own previous Lebanese record of 2:25:31 minutes.
In the 100-meter backstroke race for the category of 14-15-year-old females,
Taline Murad won the third spot, recording 1:06:22 minutes.
