Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Friday welcomed at the Second Presidency in Ain el-Tineh the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel Aal Al-Qinai, with whom he discussed the current general situation in Lebanon and the region, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two countries.

This afternoon, Speaker Berri met with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, with whom he discussed the current general situation and the latest developments in Lebanon.

Wronecka left Ain El Tineh without making any statement.

On the other hand, Speaker Berri cabled the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulating him on the historic legislative polls’ accomplishment and the election of the Speaker and Vice Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council.

Berri also cabled member of the Qatari Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim,  congratulating on his election as Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council.
