The Free Patriotic Movement's political body held its periodic meeting today, chaired by its leader, MP Gebran Bassil.
Following the meeting, the body issued a statement highlighting the need for the government to resume its meetings and stating that it seeks to improve relations with Saudi Arabia.
The Free Patriotic Movement also considered that "the urgent matters, especially the social crisis, require a government and parliament mobilization to approve the financial recovery plan, in parallel with reforms and measures to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese."
The conferees called for “making the crisis with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia an opportunity to institutionalize the relationship, based on equality, mutual respect and common interests so that individual positions remain unaffected.”
