The parliamentary session to elect a president of the republic that was held on Thursday ended, for the eighth week, without electing one.
After the end of the vote counting process, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced the results as follows:
- White papers: 52
- Michel Moawad: 37
- New Lebanon: 9
- Issame Khalife: 4
- Ziad Baroud: 2
- Others: 2
- Null votes: 4
