Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday chaired at the Grand Serail a meeting for the ministerial committee tasked with overseeing the work of the Emergency Crisis and Covid-19 Response Social Safety Net Project.

The meeting was attended by Caretaker Ministers of National Education and Higher Education Judge Abbas Halabi, of Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi, of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, of Public Health Firas Abyad, and of Economy and Trade Amin Salam, as well as the Director General of the Presidency of the Republic Dr. Antoine Choucair, Cabinet Secretary-General Judge Mahmoud Makkieh, and Premier Mikati’s advisors Samir Al-Daher and Ziad Mikati.

Moreover, Premier Mikati met with the Caretaker Minister of Finance, Youssef El-Khalil, with discussion touching on the Ministry's related issues and financial and economic affairs.

Mikati later met with MP Ihab Matar, with whom he discussed the current general situation.

He also met with the State Security Director General, Major General Tony Saliba.
