Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi on Sunday lamented that “arrogance is preventing politicians from coming together and holding dialogue to exit the presidential election crisis.”
“The wailing of the hungry and grieving people is not reaching their ears, hearts and conscience," Rahi decried in his Christmas Day sermon.
He added: "Let them stop impeding the election of a president so that normalcy can return to state institutions, the country can exit its lethal economic and financial crises and the people can get out of their poverty, deprivation and agony."
