Metropolitan Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch for the Archdiocese of Beirut Elias Audi welcomed on Wednesday the Greek Ambassador to Lebanon, Catherine Fountoulaki, who offered him Christmas and New Year well-wishes. 

"It is very important amid these trying times to remember how much Lebanon and the Lebanese are suffering, especially amid the grave difficulties that they endure,” Fountoulaki said. 

“I’ve discussed with His Excellency various developments; His Excellency has a clear vision, and I thank him for his wisdom. Our hope, within the international community that’s friendly to Lebanon, is that the new year will be better than the previous one, and that Lebanon’s state institutions will become more effective and be able to provide the best for the people,” the Greek diplomat added, extending her heartfelt wishes to all.
