Lebanese Kataeb party praised Monday the speech delivered by Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the UN General Assembly, saying it is unacceptable for some to regard the state as the oppressor and the terrorist groups as victims.
In a statement issued following its weekly meeting, the party's politburo called on the government to double efforts aiming at securing the release of captive servicemen, demanding that security, economic and social stability be ensured.
The party warned against "legitimizing" the presidential void, deeming the so-called "necessary legislation" as a suspicious attempt aimed at marginalizing the country's top post.
