The Republican Party was left red-faced after accidentally publishing its reaction to the vice presidential debates early - declaring Mike Pence the winner two hours before the debate started.
The article read: "The consensus was clear after the dust settled,
"Mike Pence was the clear winner of the debate."
However, the dust had no time to settle, as the debates had not yet started.
The blog post sang Mr Pence's praises, writing that he "made the most of his opportunity to debate Hillary’s VP pick Tim Kaine".
It continued to say he "perfectly shared Trump’s vision to make America great again and that message is resonating with Americans all across the country."
A second blog post, published early, declared Hillary Clinton the loser.
The website also published an article entitled "5 questions Tim Kaine was NOT asked", hours before he was asked any questions at all.
The GOP soon realised it had pressed 'publish' too early, and took down the posts.
The pages were replaced by a 404 error.
Many on social media spotted the GOP's error and were quick to mock it.
