Environment Minister Fadi Jreissati said in a press conference on Thursday that he accepts all remarks and criticisms against him, stressing that "waste segregation at source has become a binding law and a duty for every citizen of Lebanon."
"Sorting from the source falls under law No. 80, enshrined in decree 5605/2019 like the traffic law," he said, lashing out at "those who exploit the issue of sorting from the source to attack President Michel Aoun and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil."
"We have plants ready to operate, so I call on the Lebanese people to start sorting from the source," the minister urged. "It serves first and foremost the health and finances of every Lebanese citizen."
