Protests against the Cabinet's decision to slap a new series of taxes on Lebanese citizens continued to spark massive demonstrations across the country on Saturday.
In this framework, demonstrators have blocked Tripoli International Highway at Maaloula point with burning tires and cars.
Meanwhile, a group of protesters from the Zgharta region cut-off the Zgharta-Tripoli highway and al-Aqaba-Zgharta Road in a peaceful and civilized manner, without resorting to burning tires.
Sin el-Fil Boulevard was also blocked to traffic using burning tires at Mirna Shallouhi point.
Protesters also cut-off the Koura road at the locality o Karqahel with burning tires, as heavy smoke filled the air, in addition to the road leading to Kosba and Anfeh.
Similarly, demonstrators blocked the Zahrani Highway and Kfarreman Road in the South and Douress Roundabout in Baalbek.
