Protests against the Lebanese cabinet and the state rule continued to spark massive demonstrations up and down the country for the tenth day in a row on Saturday.
In this framework, the Chevrolet-furn El-Chebbak road has been cut-off once again to traffic in both directions, after it was opened in the morning by the Lebanese Army.
A group of young men also blocked the Tripoli-Beirut highway in both directions by sitting in the middle of the highway.
Protesters continued their sit-in along the Zouk Mosbeh-Jounieh highway which is closed to traffic, as demonstrators joined the sit-in and followed news of demonstrations in other areas through large screens.
Moreover, demonstrators have just re-closed the road at al-Abdeh roundabout and the branches leading to it, after it had been opened for some time, reiterating their steadfastness in their movement until the achievement of their goals.
Meanwhile, the Jbeil highway is still blocked in both directions with earth mounds, and citizens are increasingly flocking to the sit-in square, carrying Lebanese flags with national songs playing in the background, amidst the presence of Lebanese army units who are working to provide protection for the protesters and internal security forces working to secure traffic on the seaside road.
In Jeb Jenin, the army units have just removed the earth barriers close to Bank Audi, which caused the blockade since the beginning of the popular movement, thus allowing traffic to return to normal within the vicinity.
In Nabatiyeh, the municipality opened a branching road in the middle of the Nabatiyeh Boulevard to allow access to the Red Cross Center, in order to facilitate the passage of ambulances and citizens in light of the continued closure of Kfarreman roundabout by protesters for the tenth day in a row.
