A number of residents of the upper Metn area staged a protest on Sunday at the tent which was set-up on the road linking Ruwaisat al-Ballout and Abadieh, raising Lebanese flags and chanting the national anthem.
Protesters stressed that "there will be no retreat until the formation of a national government from outside the current political class, and the recognition of early parliamentary elections based on relativity and away from sectarian restrictions, adopting Lebanon as a one constituency, in addition to rectifying the state’s economic policies."
Afterwards, participants headed to Martyrs’ Square to join their colleagues in their sit-in in downtown Beirut to pursue their demands’ protest.
