Sharon Stone has revealed she was struck by lightning while trying to do her ironing.
During a recent appearance on the Films To Be Buried With podcast with Brett Goldstein, the actor spoke about the bizarre incident, which occurred while using a well at her home.
The 62-year-old said she was filling her iron with water at the well when a bolt of lightning hit her.
"I was hit by lightning. Wow - it's really intense," Stone told Goldstein.
"I was at home, we had our own well. I was filling the iron with water and I had one hand on the faucet and the well got hit by lightning and the lightning came up through the water."
The Basic Instinct star said the lightning hit her with such force she was thrown across her kitchen.
"I got picked up and thrown across the kitchen and I hit the refrigerator," she said.
Fortunately, her mother was able to help her come to after she hit her fridge.
"My mother was standing there and my mother just belted me across the face, and brought me to hospital," Stone said.
"I was in such an altered state, just so, I don't know how to describe it, so bright, like wow, and she threw me in the car and drove me to hospital and the EKG [electrocardiogram] was showing just electricity in my body. It was so crazy."
A bolt of lightning can contain up to one billion volts of electricity.
