Former Minister Wael Abu Faour on Thursday affirmed during the handover of the Ministry of Industry that "the current crisis is economic in its essence, and there will be no progress in the sector if the industry is not given the attention it deserves."
"The old Lebanese economic system has fallen irreversibly; it has proven futile," he asserted, underlining the need to kick off production work.
Minister Imad Hoballah, in turn, said: "I will build on my own experience with regard to the public and private sector in the Ministry of Industry," thanking Abu Faour and commending him for what he did during his tenure as minister.
He called for "building on what the previous ministers did," underscoring "the focus on joint action and interaction between the private and public sectors."
