Electricité du Liban (EDL) on Monday confirmed in statement that all Lebanese regions, including Beirut administrative district, will witness a gradual improvement in power supply “after the completion of the unloading process of two fuel and gas marine carriers in each of Jiyeh and Deir Ammar power plants.”
EDL also reiterated in its statement that it would continue to take the necessary precautionary measures to maintain a stable power supply for the longest period possible amid the current tough conditions that the country endures.
“The EDL is still spending, to-date, from the remaining balance of the state's contribution to Law No. 6 of 05/03/2020,” the statement read.
The EDL finally apologized to citizens “for this situation that’s beyond our control,” and promised to keep citizens informed about any developments regarding the electrical supply by means of circulating relevant data.
