Restaurant owners protested, in a number of Lebanese regions, against their continued obligation to close at 9:30 pm. However, the owners, as well as customers, will find relief tomorrow.
MTV Website learned that a meeting will be held on Tuesday at the Grand Serail, with Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab, Tourism Minister Ramzi Musharrafieh, and the Union of Travel and Tourism Owners.
The discussion will be based on the following two points, on which a decision will be made:
1. To allow restaurants to open their doors to customers until 1:00 am outdoors.
2. Hotels will be required to receive bills from non-Lebanese customers in US dollars cash.
Sources indicate that the decision to open restaurant halls until 9:30 pm will also be reconsidered, as the extension of the period of opening restaurants is not limited to outdoor spaces.
