Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib on Friday welcomed in his office Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, with whom he discussed the current general situation in Lebanon and the region.
Discussions also touched on the bilateral relations and the means to develop them, especially in the economic and financial domains.
Ambassador Rudakov extended to Minister Bou Habib an official invitation from his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, to visit Moscow shortly.
On the other hand, Minister Bou Habib received a congratulatory letter from Mexican Foreign Minister, wishing success to the Mikati-led government.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also met the Yemen Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdulla Abdul Karim Al-Dais, who handed him a congratulatory letter from his Yemeni counterpart, Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak
Talks also touched on the current situation in Yemen.
Bou Habib also met respectively with the Mexican Ambassador to Lebanon, Jose Ignacio Madraz, and North Korean Ambassador, Mun Jung Nam, with talks reportedly touching on the bilateral relations.
Among Bou Habib’s itinerant visitors for today had been the Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa at International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Hossam Elsharkawi.
