Kataeb Party Leader, MP Samy Gemayel, met on Monday with Archbishop Antoine Bou Najem, delegated to Saifi by Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi.

"The meeting was fruitful, and Bkerki's initiative and approach are serious," said Gemayel following the talks.

"I reiterate that we will do our best to prevent the election of a president who follows the path of defiance," he stressed.
