Caretaker Minister of Economy Amin Salam convened with Bahrain's Minister of Sustainable Development, Ms. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, alongside a Lebanese delegation attending the preparatory ministerial meeting of the Arab League Summit's 33rd regular session. The meeting, held in Manama, Bahrain, emphasized deepening relations between the two countries.
Both ministers underscored the significance of advancing cooperation to more sophisticated levels. Minister Alkhulaif emphasized King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s commitment to Arab cooperation, advocating for expanded cooperation for mutual benefit.
During the meeting, Minister Alkhulaif, reiterated Bahrain's dedication to accelerating sustainable development goals.
For his part, Salam highlighted Lebanon's aspiration to become a secure and lucrative investment hub for Bahraini and Arab investors, emphasizing collaboration with Bahrain's Ministry of Sustainable Development for its ambitious initiatives.
Discussions centered on global and Arab challenges, exploring solutions and developments in various economic and developmental sectors.
In turn, Minister Alkhulaif expressed readiness to support Lebanon in enhancing sustainability across social, economic, and environmental dimensions, particularly as Lebanon's Ministry of Economy and Trade initiates digital transformation.
In appreciation, Minister Salam commended Bahrain's efforts in sustainable development and extended gratitude for Bahrain's hospitality.
