A delegation from the Journalists for Freedom association met with Caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi at his office.
The delegation praised the Ministry of Interior’s security plan for maintaining law and order, highlighting the commendable efforts of the security forces in benefiting the majority of citizens.
The delegation expressed hope that the implementation of the security plan would be accompanied by the activation of administrative departments to facilitate citizens' transactions, ensuring that everyone feels protected by the law.
In turn, Minister Mawlawi welcomed the delegation, lauding the role of media and opinion leaders in promoting a culture of law enforcement. He affirmed the continuation of the security plan, emphasizing that his duty is guided solely by the voices of the people and conscience.
The delegation also invited Minister Mawlawi to the association's first annual dinner on July 25th, which he promised to attend.
