Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi highlighted the necessity to preserve Arab unity and steadfastness, upon his arrival to the Saint Charbel monastery in Amman Monday.
Rahi maintained that the exchanged visits between Lebanon and Jordan highlighted the friendship and continuous communication from both sides, especially through the Lebanese and Jordanian Diasporas.
"We always pray for the Kingdom of Jordan to remain a holy prosperous land; May God protect it in this difficult time" Rahi said.
The prelate also deplored the new Israeli law that states "United Jerusalem" is the capital of Israel and that Hebrew is the official language.
"We are called to preserve our unity and steadfastness, as well as our role in our Arab nation, which embraces the holy religions," Rahi stressed.
