Cedar Oxygen Fund: “Made in Lebanon” for first time at Expo 2020

In support of the Made in Lebanon slogan, Cedar Oxygen Fund -Lebanon in cooperation with the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, and Antwork, organized the largest interactive promotional meeting for “Made in Lebanon” to communicate with Lebanese industrialists and explore business opportunities at the global level to promote industry and trade between Lebanon and the world by holding business matching ,and presenting the current industrial opportunities in Lebanon and financing mechanisms.

Moreover, the meeting raised the cooperation with international and Arab industrialists, who expressed interest in participating in this meeting, held at the Lebanon pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai.

This initiative aims to support the value-creator industry and highlight the comparative advantage that the Lebanese industry has recently embraced, raising their competitiveness on the global landscape.

During the event, executives from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Serbia, Bosnia, Malta, and Russia, attended the meeting with the participation of more than 15 Lebanese industrialists. Cedar Oxygen Fund‘s Chief Executive Officer Anthony Jabbour and Carol Milan on behalf of the Association of Industrialists stressed the potential opportunities while the attaché at the Lebanese Embassy, Jean-Claude Khoury confirmed the efforts of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry and its missions to attract investments to Lebanon in particular modern industries based on technology.

The industrialists also presented their most prominent food, industrial and medical products, and each of them discussed the investment opportunities available in their brands and explained the investment rewards, incentives, and financing support provided by the Cedar Oxygen Fund to launch modern and new industries.

Cedar Oxygen presented the mechanisms for obtaining financial support and financing industrial projects to develop the sector, meeting the needs of the Lebanese, providing a high-level product and manufacturing, which was the subject of interest and appreciation by Businessmen from Arab and foreign countries.

This initiative aimed to highlight the high level of technical and production level that the industry has become in Lebanon and to highlight the technological and qualitative development that increases the competitiveness of the Lebanese industry on the global stage.

Cedar Oxygen also presented a set of successful stories for the recipients of funding to launch their local industries according to the finest financing bases, and Cedar Oxygen includes a group of Lebanese investors who allocated the Lebanese industry with large funds to re-launch this sector and enhance its contribution to the Lebanese national income.

Cedar Oxygen is a Luxembourg domiciled, impact investment finance and technology platform that was established in May 2020 by an experienced team of Lebanese expats, and US and EU financial services professionals and investors. Its sole purpose is to help alleviate the crisis in Lebanon by making available needed lending solutions to Lebanese industrialists, both importers & exporters. The group offers debt-based facilities to purchase raw materials, conclude capital expenditure projects, finance renewable energy technologies, and improve their business efficiency.

Cedar Oxygen works in close partnership with the Association of Lebanese Industrialists is a member of the Global Impact Investing Network.
