Defense Minister, Yaacoub Sarraf, deemed on Saturday that the current crisis in Lebanon is transient, but the unity of Lebanon is permanent and deeply-rooted, stating, "There is a unanimous agreement that the resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri is not in place, and efforts are underway at the highest levels to end this crisis."
"Lebanon is very keen on the best relations with the Arab brethrens and with Saudi Arabia," Sarraf noted, adding, "If a dispute arises, that does not mean that the Kingdom's leadership or people are against us."
"Everyone agrees on the importance of respecting the sovereignty, freedom and dignity of Lebanon," Sarraf said, stressing that "our only enemy is Israel!"
Sarraf's words came during his visit to the Islamic Endowments Department in Halba-Akkar, where he met with a number of dignitaries and officials from the region.
