Agriculture Minister Abbas Hajj Hassan met in Istanbul with his Turkish counterpart, Bekir Pakdemirli, with whom he touched on the development of bilateral relations, especially in the agricultural field and the signing of bilateral agreements between covering all fields.
A statement distributed by the Information Office of the Minister of Agriculture stated that "the meeting was fruitful and positive, and it was agreed to form agricultural technical committees, in addition to consolidating cooperation between the two countries at the level of forests' preservation and the production of forest seedlings, especially as Lebanon seeks to expand forest areas and compensate for what was lost due to excessive cutting and fires."
