Economy Minister Amin Salam commented Saturday on the issue of the ration card, noting that "the Ministry of Economy worked with the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the previous ministers launched it before we assumed our duties, but there are some outstanding monetary and technical issues and their announcement was very early."

He added: “The first phase has ended and its funding is available, and next week we will witness progress in the matter, while the second phase will not start before launching the first phase with the poorest."
