Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, reviewed on Wednesday with the Colombian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fernando Helou, "the historically strong bilateral relations binding the two countries at the social and humanitarian levels."
Discussions touched on ways to bolster bilateral cooperation through memoranda of understanding in the health and culture sectors, in addition to humanitarian aid.
They also discussed the twinning project between the Lebanese city of Byblos and Colombia's Krajina, underscoring the possibility of benefiting from Colombia's experience in dealing with the phenomenon of displacement, and providing financial support to Lebanon to help it bear the burdens of sheltering the displaced.
