Caretaker Energy Minister Nada Boustani confirmed her promise that "the Lebanese state will import 10% of the marketplace needs of fuel, which will be sold in Lebanese pounds on Monday."
Boustani blamed the Central Bank's plan for the energy sector, saying: "What is happening today in the petroleum sector is due to a mechanism set by the Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh without coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Water."
She concluded that "the continued rise of the LBP against the USD will restore the crisis."
